The Heck-Jones Offering “Faces and Places of WMU NC” Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship . . . Since 1947, the Heck-Jones Offering has been provided funding for the missions and ministries of Woman’s Missionary Union of North Carolina. The offering is named in memory of the first officers who led the organization for its first fifty years – Fannie Scudder Heck, president and Sallie Bailey Jones, corresponding secretary. The offering is used to expand ministries such as Acteens and Youth on Mission Events, WMU NC sponsored Mission Trips, a Prison Retreat, Leadership Training, and many other ministries. Although this offering is taken in many churches across our state during the month of February, churches may choose to receive the offering at any time throughout the year. More information is available at www.wmunc.org.

This offering was named for Miss Annie Armstrong, the first corresponding secretary of national WMU and missions pioneer.
