BITS OF BRENT'S Personal HISTORY

Born in Salisbury, North Carolina years ago.

Brent attended North Carolina State University and graduated in 1988 with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He moved to New Orleans where he earned his Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991. He expects to earn his Doctor of Ministry in 2009.

Married to his wife, Laura Ann Ward years ago. They celebrate their anniversary in June.

Laura Ward Barker was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor of Music/Music Therapy in 1985; then from Florida State University with her Master of Music Therapy in 1987. Laura presently teaches music at North Hills Christian School.

God has blessed Brent and Laura with two children, Wesley Ward Barker and Laura Katherine Barker.

Wesley, years old, and Laura Katherine, years old, both attend North Hills Christian School.

The Barker Family currently live in Salisbury, NC and are active in both the community and their church.
