Discernment

Scripture for Reflection and Preparation

Proverbs 8:12

12 “I wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion.”

Hebrews 5:14

14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

Preparation

·        Praise God for who He is

·        Confess your sinfulness and need for cleansing

·        Allow His Spirit to draw you near

·        Listen as He speaks to you

Petition (ask God to…)

·        Grant me discernment between good and evil

·        Increase my faith

·        Help me to grow spiritually to become of full age

·        Prepare me for our upcoming Associational Revival scheduled to begin Sunday evening, November 2, 2008, 7pm @North Main Baptist Church
