Prayer
for Revival among Church Leadership Day 13
(October 6, 2008) Pastors A church will not rise any higher
spiritually than its leadership. Scripture for Reflection and
Preparation (HCSB) 2 Timothy
4:1-5 1 Before God and Christ Jesus, who
is going to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His
kingdom, I solemnly charge you: 2 proclaim the message;
persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with
great patience and teaching. 3 For
the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to
their own desires, will accumulate teachers for themselves because they have an
itch to hear something new. 4 They
will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5 But as for you, keep a
clear head about everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill your ministry. Ephesians
6:19-20 19 Pray also for
me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with
boldness the mystery of the gospel. 20 For
this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to
speak as I should. Romans
15:30-33 30 Now I implore
you, brothers, through the Lord Jesus Christ and through the love of the
Spirit, to agonize together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf: 31 that
I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea, that my service for Jerusalem
may be acceptable to the saints, 32 and that, by God's will,
I may come to you with joy and be refreshed together with you. 33 The God of peace be with
all of you. Amen. Preparation
